The segment is also involved in the design, production, and construction of various equipment and facilities. The Resin Business segment provides phenol resin products used in the casting process, photoresists, and various other fields; resin coated sand and aggregate products used in molds; and products based on the flame retardancy and heat resistance of phenol resins. The Water Treatment and Resource Development Business segment engages in the development and supply of water and thermal resources; design and construction of water utility facilities and reuse of wastewater; operation of public sewage facilities; treatment of industrial water and wastewater; prevention of environmental pollution and purification; and provision of environmental equipment and systems, and maintenance and management services. The company was formerly known as Asahi Organic Chemicals Industry Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Asahi Yukizai Corporation in April 2016.
