Earnings season: Nvidia will have to address DeepSeek worries
This week is jam-packed with the latest earnings releases, including Home Depot (HD) on Tuesday and Nvidia (NVDA) and Lowe's (LOW) reporting this Wednesday. Slatestone Wealth chief market strategist and host of Yahoo Finance's Trader Talk, Kenny Polcari, joins the Market Domination team in how the stock market (^DJI, ^IXIC, ^GSPC) is bracing for these results. If Nvidia's fourth quarter numbers come out "fine," Polcari believes "then the market rallies... Now here's the problem with Nvidia: You know they're going to come out with a good number, and someone's going to find something that they didn't like and they missed by a tiny bit." In his conversation with hosts Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton, Polcari ultimately believes Nvidia may run into issues if CEO Jensen Huang doesn't address the competition presented by China's DeepSeek AI model.
