Why this strategist says he's 'a bull with a lowercase b'

CFRA Research Chief Investment Strategist Sam Stovall joins Market Domination to share his 2025 market outlook. Tech gains will broaden beyond megacaps in 2025: Strategist

Tech stocks pull back after the Federal Reserve delivered a hawkish cut at its final meeting of 2024. BMO Wealth Management chief investment officer Yung-Yu Ma joins Madison Mills and Julie Hyman on Catalysts to discuss his 2025 outlook for tech stocks. "We think, going into 2025, we still want to be leaning into risk here. We think the pullback in the tech sector, in particular, probably presents opportunities here. We think there's still a lot of growth to come," Ma says, adding, "We think there is broadening, especially among tech companies, that help other companies become more efficient and improve productivity using some of those AI tools in ways that benefit companies." The strategist notes, "We don't think it's just going to be about the megacap tech names. Market decline is about 2025 policy, not shutdown: Strategist

The government faces a potential shutdown if funding agreements aren't reached by Saturday at midnight. Crossmark Global Investments chief market strategist Victoria Fernandez joins Morning Brief to analyze the market decline and its broader implications. "I really think this is not as much about a government shutdown as it is the market kind of recalibrating their thoughts about how easy it's going to be for their new administration coming in to get their policies put through," Fernandez explains.
