Chicken-wing chain Wingstop will open its third location in the Rochester area in September, a representative for the Dallas, Texas-based company says. And a Starbucks in the same building will be serving customers by the fall, according to a spokesperson for the coffee shop giant.
The businesses will share a new building on the site of the old Uno Pizzeria in Jay Scutti Plaza South, 1000 Hylan Drive, Henrietta, that also has room for a third tenant.
Exterior work is close to being done and once completed, Wingstop and Starbucks will be able to do interior buildouts, said Gregory Kimber, chief financial officer of plaza owner Scutti Enterprises.
Starbucks’ special use permit from the town of Henrietta includes permission for the business to operate its drive-thru window 24/7 if it chooses, which would be a first for this area and a rarity for the chain.
Wingstop has more than 2,000 restaurants nationwide. It entered the Rochester market last September, when it opened at The Mall at Greece Ridge. It later added a location on East Ridge Road in Irondequoit.
Wingstop serves chicken wings of varying heat levels in such flavors as Atomic, Hickory Smoked BBQ, Garlic Parmesan and Hawaiian.
Ranch, blue cheese and honey mustard dipping sauces are included with orders and sold separately in small and large containers. The ranch dressing is especially popular and has inspired countless copy-cat recipes.
Also on the menu are boneless wings, chicken tenders and a chicken sandwich.
Sides include hand-cut, seasoned French fries and Cajun-spiced corn on the cob.
Hours are 11 a.m. to midnight daily.
