MARKHAM, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sep 19, 2013) - WelcomePack Canada launched its innovative 'Welcome to Canada' program for new immigrants yesterday at Toronto's Sony Centre. It brings together more than 30 Canadian brands in an initiative that will deliver welcome gift packs to 30,000 new Canadian immigrants in the Greater Toronto Area.
WelcomePack, 2013 is a specially designed welcome gift box filled with products that are of immediate and valuable use to newly landed immigrants. It also contains the WelcomePack magazine, which offers helpful settlement information and more than $1,000 in special discount offers from the participating brands, all free of charge. New immigrants who get the pack will continue to receive special offers and valuable information from WelcomePack Canada on an ongoing basis.
To qualify to receive a WelcomePack, newly landed immigrants have to be over 18 years of age and have arrived in Canada on or after September 1, 2011. They have to register to be able to collect the WelcomePack gift boxes that are being distributed by more than 20 settlement services centres located throughout the GTA. Those include the YMCA of Greater Toronto, India Rainbow Community Services of Peel, S.E.A.S. Centres, and the Toronto District School Board.
