A visual summary US private equity activity in 2Q

Another quarter, another opportunity to dive into that nitty-gritty US private equity data.

PitchBook analysts released the 2Q 2018 US PE Breakdown on Wednesday, providing the latest snapshot of an industry that's been impacted by federal tax changes, a proliferation of dry powder and a challenging dealmaking landscape.

Among the highlights: US private equity fundraising slowed demonstrably compared to last year, but it's still doing fine compared to historical levels.
