Vestas has secured new contracts totalling 225MW for wind turbine projects in the US, Germany and New Zealand as part of their fourth quarter (Q4) 2024 order intake.
In the US, the company received an 86MW order from Brookfield Renewable for the Mulqueeney project. The project will deploy the V163-4.5MW turbine variant and comes with a ten-year AOM [active output management] 5000 service agreement.
In New Zealand, Vestas secured a 77MW contract with Mercury Energy for the Kaiwaikawe project. The project will utilise 12 V162-6.4MW turbines and includes a 30-year AOM 5000 service agreement. Delivery and commissioning are set for 2026.
Delivery is expected in the fourth quarter of 2025, with commissioning in the first quarter of 2026.
In Germany, the company signed a contract for the Günstedt project with Meridian Windpark Günstedt, totalling 62MW. Ten V162-6.2MW turbines will be used, and the deal includes a 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement.
Delivery for this project is planned for the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning in the first quarter of 2027.
