VCS Announces Appointment of Kesha Boykin-Mclean to Chief Compliance Officer

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - May 27, 2014) - VCS, a leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) based healthcare compliance and credentialing solutions, today announced the appointment of Kesha Boykin-Mclean, J.D., as the company's new Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, she will provide strategic direction and input to the company's products and solutions. She will also share her best-practice experience with the healthcare compliance community via speaking engagements, webinars, white papers and regular blog postings. Boykin-Mclean brings more than 20 years of experience in a wide range of healthcare compliance roles, including her recent post as Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer for a multi-facility hospital system.

"Kesha's broad experience in many areas of healthcare, in addition to her legal expertise in healthcare compliance, adds significant bench depth to the management team at VCS," said Rick Pleczko, President and CEO of VCS. "Kesha's leadership and knowledge will be key as VCS expands its portfolio of healthcare compliance product and solutions."

"I started my healthcare career as a speech pathologist and pharmaceutical sales rep, so I know first-hand how time-consuming the credentialing process can be. And as in-house counsel and the compliance officer for large healthcare organizations, I understand how vitally important the compliance and credentialing process is for the safety of patients," said Boykin-Mclean. "I'm looking forward to applying my experiences from both of these areas to ensure VCS products and solutions dramatically reduce the cost and time required for our customers to manage their compliance programs."

Prior to joining VCS, Boykin-Mclean held a number of senior level compliance positions including Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for St. Francis Hospital in Connecticut. Boykin-Mclean also served as the Division Ethics and Compliance Officer for the Hospital Corporation of America's Gulf Coast Division, where she was responsible for oversight of compliance programs for several hospitals within the division. Most recently, she served as an independent healthcare consultant, assisting hospitals with the planning and implementation of compliance programs. Boykin-Mclean holds a J.D. from South Texas College of Law, is a Texas Bar member and has a M.S. in Speech Pathology and B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Houston.

Today, VCS also announced the appointments of Rick Pleczko as President and CEO and Wayne Washburn as the Vice President of Software Development, as well as two new VCS healthcare compliance solutions. To read these announcements, please visit https://vcsdatabase.com/news/
