Valeura Energy has completed its infill drilling campaign at the Manora field in Licence G1/48, located offshore the Gulf of Thailand.
The programme, which included three production-oriented infill development wells and two appraisal wells, has increased the company's field working interest share (70%) production from 2,144 barrels per day (bpd) to 2,866bpd over the past 14 days.
The campaign also identified three to five potential future drilling targets, which will be evaluated for inclusion in upcoming drilling programmes.
The A34 well, targeting infill development within the deep 600-series sands in the eastern fault block, was completed as a multi-zone comingled producer.
Additionally, the horizontal A38 well was drilled into the eastern fault block to develop the shallower 300-series sands.
It was completed as a producer, featuring an innovative downhole autonomous inflow control device (ICD) to manage water versus oil production.
The company is monitoring the impact of ICDs to optimise their application across its portfolio.
The A36 well aimed at sands within several established producing intervals in the main fault block and has been finished as a multi-zone infill development well.
Currently, only the deepest targets are producing, with shallower zones to be brought into production later.
The A35 well appraised several zones within the 300-series sands.
Although it will not be used as a producer and has been plugged and abandoned, its results indicate the potential for three further development wells, which will be studied for future inclusion.
The horizontal A37 well, a combination appraisal and development well, encountered an encouraging appraisal target in the 500-series sands, now being matured for future drilling.
Its development target within the deeper 600-series sands was completed as a producer.
Following the Manora drilling campaign, Valeura's contracted drilling rig has moved to Licence B5/27, where it is conducting a drilling programme on the Jasmine C wellhead platform.
Valeura also recently completed an infill drilling campaign at the Jasmine field in the Gulf of Thailand.
The drilling campaign involved five wells, with two on the Jasmine A platform and three on Jasmine D, now in production.
"Valeura concludes five-well drilling programme at Manora field, offshore Thailand" was originally created and published by Offshore Technology, a GlobalData owned brand.
