Updated Food Recall Warning (Allergen): Bella Tavola Brand Pastas Recalled Due to Undeclared Milk

The Food Recall Warning issued on November 8, 2013 has been updated to include additional codes. This additional information was identified during a food safety investigation.

Loblaw Companies Limited (Loblaw) is recalling Bella Tavola brand pastas from the marketplace because they contain milk which is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to milk should not consume the recalled products described below.

Background

This recall was triggered by a consumer complaint. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Loblaw are conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.

The CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled product from the marketplace.
