Scott Varady, the vice chancellor for advancement, says the office will help fundraise for the school but also invest in the future of students.

“We affectionately say that we are going to stretch the borders of Arkansas from the west to the Pacific, from the east to the Atlantic, from the north to Canada, from the south to Mexico,” Varady said. “We want to be engaged with our alumni and friends wherever they are. We know that they will always carry the university in their heart and want to be a part of it.”

Varady says the office is already open, and it’s already working to make connections with alumni, and other potential supporters.
