UK finance minister announces concierge service for large international investors

LONDON, Nov 22 (Reuters) - British finance minister Jeremy Hunt said on Wednesday the government would set up a "concierge service" for large international investors in a bid to attract more foreign direct investment (FDI).

Hunt said the government would accept the headline recommendations of a review it commissioned into how Britain can better attract FDI investment, and that it would increase funding for the Office for Investment to deliver it.

Hunt made the announcement as part of his Autumn Statement budget update which is focused on measures to speed up Britain's slow economy. (Reporting by David Milliken, writing by Alistair Smout; Editing by Kate Holton)
