U.S. Senate leaders strike deal to hold votes on spending bill

WASHINGTON, Dec 13 (Reuters) - Republican and Democratic leaders in the U.S. Senate have reached an agreement to hold a vote Saturday night on a $1.1 trillion spending bill, passage of which would end the threat of a government shutdown.

A Senate Democratic leadership aide said the first of three votes related to the measure could come within the hour.
