Tyco will feature on-site demonstrations of the new Sensormatic RFID Antenna and the latest dual technology AM/RFID pedestal, working in concert with Tyco's existing portfolio of hardware offerings, to illustrate the value of these solutions to facilitate second generation RFID use cases for retailers worldwide. With a network of valued industry partners, Tyco offers retailers many options for complete RFID solutions that will fulfill their unique business needs now and as they and grow.
Fitting Room Visibility
New RFID use cases extending visibility into fitting rooms provides retailers with the power to better serve clients, while also minimizing losses in this traditional "high risk" security zone. Fitting rooms furnished with the new Sensormatic RFID antenna and reader, can track merchandise in the room, then compare what is sold with what is returned to inventory, to better understand product fit, quality and/or style issues. From a loss prevention perspective, retailers have visibility to merchandise entering a fitting room but not sold and no longer in inventory which could identify shrink at the individual item level. With this approach, retailers also can locate items that are left in the fitting room and therefore not available on the sales floor.
Receiving Accuracy and Stockroom Visibility
Having to manually receive, count and check incoming shipments is both time consuming and prone to errors. By using one or more connected new RFID antennas and readers, store associates can receive items quickly and accurately. By using the directional capabilities of the RFID antenna, items can be easily located, newly received merchandise can be promptly moved to the sales floor, and the inventory system automatically updated with the new item locations. Retailers can reduce costly out-of-stock conditions by ensuring the right merchandise is on the sales floor and not in the stockroom.
Shrink Visibility
The new Sensormatic AM/RFID pedestal is a high-performance device combining industry-leading Sensormatic EAS security with RFID technology for unprecedented storefront item-level shrink visibility. This near real-time shrink insight provides retailers a complete picture of loss events in their retail stores with a detailed explanation of what, when and how specific items go missing. Armed with this actionable data, retailers can replenish missing products in a timely manner, thereby reducing out-of-stocks and increasing customer satisfaction.
