Trump Cosplayed As A McDonald's Worker And The Internet Can't Get Enough–'Just Like Most Of Trump's Businesses, This McDonald's Was Closed'

In This Article:

Former President Donald Trump once again grabbed the spotlight, but not from a debate stage or a rally podium this time. Over the weekend, Trump visited a McDonald’s in Feasterville, Pennsylvania and took on a role that many people weren’t expecting: he worked the fry station, among other things.

The internet had plenty to say about it – and it seemed like nobody could look away from the spectacle.

Don't Miss:

During a brief campaign stop, Trump waved from the drive-thru window, greeted supporters and even sold fries while wearing an apron. In typical dramatic form, he asserted that he had “worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala,” a reference to Vice President Kamala Harris, who had once revealed that she worked at McDonald’s while still a student.

The online reactions were far from unanimous. The right praised this stunt, while the left mocked it viciously. The event, as many pointed out, was clearly staged. During Trump’s visit, McDonald’s was closed to the public, according to the Washington Post and other outlets. The drive-thru customers weren’t just any old people; they were vetted beforehand and waited in line for the cameras.

Social media users were quick to jump in, with some noting that the whole spectacle seemed forced. “Just like most of Trump’s businesses, this McDonald’s was closed,” one comment on X read.

Another user pointed out that Trump supposedly “went straight to work without washing his hands and didn't wear gloves or a hairnet while preparing food, fit right in at this McDonald's location that was cited for public health violations.” Naturally, AI was involved, too and plenty of videos showed hilarious ways this visit could have gone wrong.
