Trucking and rigging business in Metuchen expands operations

METUCHEN – Bussel Realty Corp. (BRC), an industrial and retail real estate services firm, recently represented Stephen Izzi Trucking, a heavy haul trucking and rigging company, in a lease expansion of 158,641 square feet at 60 Leonard St.

The transaction brings the industrial property to 100 percent occupancy.

BRC originally leased 62,802 square feet at the property on behalf of the logistics firm in 2022.

“We are excited to expand and extend Stephen Izzi Trucking into the full building at 60 Leonard Street,” said Tyler Baker, vice president of Seagis Property Group, an investor and owner of industrial and logistics real estate, in a news release. “David Izzi and Greg of Bussel Realty Corp were both a pleasure to work with and we look forward to the long-term relationship.”

Stephen Izzi Trucking was represented by Gregory Irving, Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), executive vice president of BRC, located in Edison, in the transaction. Irving has been representing the trucking firm’s real estate requirements for more than 30 years.

The landlord, Seagis Property Group, was represented by Steve Bussel, SIOR, president of BRC, who sold the property to Seagis in 2022.

Per landlord and tenant agreement, the amount of the lease was not disclosed.

60 Leonard St. is situated on 7.5 acres.
