It’s game over. Tonight, the Senate has all but assured President Trump will be acquitted, voting down a motion by Democrats calling for witnesses to testify in his impeachment trial. This whole charade is now moving to its final phase and the president's acquittal is now imminent.
The Dems are 0-3 in their quest to take down President Trump. They failed with Robert Mueller, they failed with Brett Kavanaugh and they’ve now failed with Ukraine.
Nonetheless, they're still crying foul — with Democrats and some members of the media claiming the impeachment trial wasn't “fair.”
TRISH REGAN: HEY DEMS! HERE'S A HAMILTON QUOTE SCHIFF OUGHT TO HEED
In spite of these theatrics, our nation is seeing major policy successes. Jobs, wage growth, prison reform, our fight against terror, plus a decline in illegal migrants and — importantly — trade.
President Trump’s ability to plow through the "bull Schiff” has greatly annoyed the deep state.
TRISH REGAN: JOHN BOLTON NOW A 'HERO' TO DEMOCRATS
Career bureaucrats that never liked President Trump are still conspiring to get him out. We know all about Comey’s FBI, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page — but, the latest revelation (thanks to the Dems' Ukraine allegations) reveals the level to which our national security council might potentially go in order to have its vision of the world articulated.
Here's a transcript from an interview Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano did with John Bolton back in 2010:
NAPOLITANO: Did you ever lie for your country?
BOLTON: No, I don't think so knowingly but I certainly am able to spin things and I think a good diplomat is able to spin things just like American politicians
NAPOLITANO: You would lie in order to preserve the truth?
BOLTON: If I had to say something I knew was false in order to protect national security, I would do it
I want you to remember those remarks from Bolton as I walk you through the timing of what just went down.
-
Things weren’t going well with Bolton. He screwed up on Venezuela and he was, understandably, annoyed that Rudy Giuliani was so heavy-handed on Ukraine. According to Fiona Hill, Bolton called Giuliani "a hand grenade."
-
Meanwhile, Sean Misko, an NSC aide alongside Bolton until 2017, joined Schiff's committee staff in August, the same month the whistleblower submitted his complaint.
-
Days before the complaint was filed, the so-called whistleblower (who allegedly works at the NSC) meets with Adam Schiff's staff.
-
On August 12, 2019, the alleged whistleblower files his complaint.
-
John Bolton is fired on September 10, 2019.
-
September 26, 2019 (16 days later) the whistleblower report goes public.
-
Adam Schiff then goes on his victory lap — claiming the whistleblower's complaint is a bombshell and that his team did not speak directly with the whistleblower.
