An uplifting event programme with free shows in an intimate pedestrian village setting, street blues, unexpected performances in unusual places, blues'araoke and family blues workshops and nothing but the very best blues − this is what Festival goers should expect at the 22nd edition of the Tremblant International Blues Festival, July 3-12 2015.
"Focused on new sounds, accessibility and a mixed repertoire, Tremblant is presenting over one hundred indoor and outdoor shows," announced the Festival's new spokesperson, music lover Anne-Marie Withenshaw. "Highly adored Québecois singers and musicians will be joined by artists from the four corners of the globe for 10 days of blues − from its purest roots to its R&B, soul, funk, country, folk and rock influences. July 3: The Porn Flakes with Sébastien Plante (Les Respectables) & Lulu Hughes -- Launching the festivities with a tribute to the Rolling Stones, the pair covers the British band's timeless classics and early career blues renditions of tunes by Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Howlin'Wolf and other American blues giants. Not only does Lulu Hugues incarnate Mary Clayton in Gimme Shelter, she also performs Jumping Jack Flash Aretha Franklin style, along with other legendary blues hits too. Anne-Marie will be joining the band for one number -- a must-attend moment.
July 4: France D'Amour -- D'Amour pulls out all the stops in a rich, hit-studded performance covering everything from her early chart-toppers to her more recent numbers, with over 35 Top 5 songs including Vivante, Je n'irai pas ailleurs, Que des mots, Animal, J'entends ta voix, Le Bonheur me fait de l'œil, Pourrons-nous jamais être amis and other blues infused numbers. Always accompanied by top Québec musicians, she has a knack for touching her audience, making the sparks fly and turning every show into an unforgettable moment in time.
July 5: The Pimps of Joytime -- New on the TIBF scene, this soul, funk n' groove quintet from Brooklyn and New-Orleans was formed in 2007. Mixing 70s funk with electro dance beats (EDM), three harmonies and percussion along with front man Brian J.'s undeniable stage presence, it has all the makings for a hot summer evening of music.
July 8: Bobby Bazini -- From Mont-Laurier, Bazini grew up in a family of musicians. As a teenager he discovered Johnny Cash in his grandmother's record collection, an artist who deeply influenced his career. With a voice and songs that impress the music industry brass, his breakthrough comes quickly. Opportunities to perform abound and all across Canada, he meets with success. After releasing two albums in 2013, he joins Universal Music Canada. As 2014's top-selling Canadian artist, he takes to the stage strumming songs about his travels, relationships, life, music and his dreams.
July 11: Steve Hill -- With a 2015 Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year, four Maple Blues Awards and 15 years after his first album release, singer/songwriter Hill shows a maturity that only comes with years of experience. The singer/guitarist's latest album not only revisits the blues, it stirs every ounce of his rock & roll, folk and country roots into the mix, lending it a timeless flavour.
July 11: Brian Tyler (La Voix) & Guests -- At main venue Place Saint-Bernard, after taking Québec by storm as a La Voix contender in 2013, Tyler brings his signature charisma and powerful vocals that always earn ovations from his admirers. Carried by their energy, the 5-time 2014 Lys Blues award-winning bluesman promises to deliver a show that is packed with feelings.

New & Refreshed Blues'araoke Saturday July 4 & 11, 20 candidates are invited to climb on Place des Voyageurs stage to audition for the public, in a rare opportunity to sing with a genuine blues band. Then ten finalists compete in a noon-time finale Sunday July 12, on the main Place Saint-Bernard stage. The winner will be presented with an autographed guitar signed by the 2015 TIBF artists, offered courtesy of Éthier Musique.
