LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Aug 13, 2013) - Today, Cambridge's biggest hotelier Travelodge is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the city by opening its largest hotel to date in Cambridge on Newmarket Road. To mark this special occasion alongside the arrival of the Prince of Cambridge who will also be 25 days old this week, Travelodge is offering a free night stay in any of its 502 UK based hotels to Britons called George Cambridge.
Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge Spokeswoman said: "To celebrate the arrival of Prince George of Cambridge, we thought it would be quite fitting to also mark our 25th anniversary and, the opening of our largest hotel in the historic city of Cambridge, by offering Britons called George Cambridge a free night stay.
"George Cambridge can stay in anyone of our 502 UK based hotels which include royal connected locations such as: London, Windsor, Edinburgh and Holyhead. To add to the royal experience George will get to sleep like a king in our brand new Travelodge Dreamer bed, which is deemed in the industry as the Rolls Royce of beds and is made by royal warrant holders."
To qualify for a free room, British citizens called George Cambridge just need to register their details at Georgecambridge@travelodge.co.uk. Upon registration they will need to send proof of their name. Upon receipt of this information a complimentary room stay will be booked at any of Travelodge's 502 UK hotels.
Cambridge Newmarket Road Travelodge is the company's sixth hotel in the city that dates back to the 12th century. The new 219-room property represents an £18 million investment and has created 30 new jobs within the community. The hotel boasts a unique 14 metre stain glass window which has been created by artist Julian Stocks. This piece of art showcases quotes inspired by travellers.
Over the last 25 years, Travelodge has invested £40 million into Cambridge with the opening of six hotels and has created 150 jobs.
