Transportation Safety Awards Granted to KOOL PAK LLC by Oregon Trucking Association

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Jun 1, 2014) - At the recent Oregon Trucking Association's (OTA) Safety and Leadership Summit, KOOL PAK LLC received two prestigious transportation safety awards. Exceptional highway safety standards are honored each year by the Oregon Trucking Associations (OTA) with Great West Casualty Company. KOOL PAK earned highest honors as 2013 Fleet Safety Grand Champion, the second time in three years KOOL PAK has earned this award. They also received First Place for LTL Carrier under three million miles.

"These awards are a result of a combined team effort," notes KOOL PAK CEO Steve Ness, "from our schedulers and warehouse staff, to our drivers who safely deliver temperature-controlled products to customers across the country. Safety is always our number one priority for refrigerated shipments." KOOL PAK continues their dual focus on transportation and product safety with the acquisition of new tractors and trailers that improve on-the-road safety while being better for the environment. New equipment delivers improved tractor and trailer aerodynamics, fuel savings, lower equipment weight, optimized engines and idle reduction. Additional fuel saving results from the use of low rolling resistance super single tires and reducing driver fatigue with automatic DT12 transmissions that also deliver better performance in all road and weather conditions.

Established in 1968, KOOL PAK, LLC is a leading provider of worry-free, temperature-controlled LTL shipping throughout the U.S. and Canada. In addition to reliable transportation services, they have four strategically located refrigerated facilities offering logistics, distribution and warehousing in Oregon, California, Washington and British Columbia.
