VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Sep 16, 2013) - Touchdown Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TDW) ("Touchdown Resources" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has acquired a 100% interest in 24 claims, totaling 416 hectares, in Ontario.
The claims are adjacent to Zenyatta Ventures Ltd., on the west and cover an historic Mag Low identified on the Map 3890G 42K/2 District of Cochrane Ontario Aeromagnetics map outlining surveys flown from 1965 to 1967 in Ontario in joint venture with the Geological Survey of Canada and the Ontario Department of Mines. These claims are located approximately 5km northeast from Caribou King Resources Ltd., which has recently announced historic results of drilling that intercepted Graphite and historic multiple EM conductors.
Caribou King Resources Ltd., announced on September 11, 2013, "…multiple EM conductors identified at Mulloy graphite near the Zenyatta Albany Graphite project," and historic work "… located 10 kilometres west of the Zenyatta Ventures Ltd. Albany graphite project identified four horizontal loop EM (HLEM) conductors that are near historic drilling that encountered graphite in 18.68 metres of graphitic schist, followed by a second graphitic schist intersected over 19.78 metres for a total of 38.46 metres (see their news release, Aug. 15, 2013)."
Zenyatta Ventures Ltd. is exploring its 100% owned Albany Graphite discovery which is a hydrothermal type Graphite discovery. Zenyatta is delineating by drilling, two graphite rich hydrothermal vents and recently announced on September 4, 2013, "To date, 13 holes have been drilled on the West pipe, and 25 holes have been drilled on the East pipe. The current drill campaign contemplates an additional eight to 10 definition holes on both pipes and three large-diameter (HQ) holes on the East pipe to recover a five-tonne bulk sample for metallurgical testwork."
The Company has not been able to verify the information quoted herein and cannot guarantee that similar mineralization will be found on the Company's newly acquired Albany NE claims. The terms of the Agreement for the Albany NE claims are $10,000 on signing and 2 million shares subject to regulatory approval. Alexander Stares has recently filed a dispute regarding the Albany NE claims however the claims have been filed, recorded and accepted by the Ontario Mining Recorder and have been titled.
Although the technical information disclosed herein is for properties adjacent to those of the Company's new claims, the technical contents of this release were approved by Brent Butler, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. The property has not been the subject of a National Instrument 43-101 report, and Brent Butler has not verified the technical data disclosed in this release.
