'I Will Tell The Same Lies' – Joe Rogan Says He'd Take Over Rachel Maddow's Job –'Same Outfit And Glasses' – If Elon Musk Buys MSNBC

It started with a joke and quickly spiraled into a viral moment. Elon Musk, Joe Rogan and Donald Trump Jr. recently stirred up social media with a bit of trolling about buying MSNBC and Joe Rogan took it a step further by calling dibs on Rachel Maddow's job – but with his own twist.

Don't Miss:

This all began when news broke that Comcast plans to spin off MSNBC and CNBC into a new publicly traded company. Donald Trump Jr. jumped on this with a tweet tagging Elon Musk, saying, "Hey @elonmusk, I have the funniest idea ever!!!". The joke here was obvious – Musk buying a news network with a decidedly different political leaning.

Of course, Elon Musk – who rarely shies away from online banter – played along. He replied, "How much does it cost?" The exchange caught fire, drawing millions of views, with people both entertained and genuinely curious if Musk might actually do it.

Joe Rogan Wants In

Not one to sit out on a joke, Joe Rogan jumped in with his idea. He tweeted, "If you buy MSNBC, I would like Rachel Maddow's job. I will wear the same outfit and glasses and I will tell the same lies." Clearly, Rogan was poking fun at Maddow's style and, more importantly, her approach to news coverage – in his eyes, not exactly truthful.

The tweet quickly went viral, garnering tens of millions of views. People couldn't get enough of the mental image of Rogan dressed like Maddow delivering the news in his brand of satire. And then Elon Musk, never missing a beat, replied with "Deal," followed by a mix of rocket, fire and laughing emojis – adding even more fuel to the already blazing conversation.
