Citi says T-Mobile (TMUS) indicated on its website that fees for both voice and mobile internet lines will increase. The fee increase for voice lines is 50c per month and for mobile internet lines is 20c per month. Subscribers that have rate plans that include taxes and fees are not impacted by the changes, the analyst tells investors in a research note. This leads Citi to believe the increase is for a small portion of T-Mobile’s subscriber base. The annualized impact to revenue is “apt to be quite small,” especially if subscribers impacted are less than 20% of the current postpaid retail base, the firm contends. It keeps a Neutral rating on T-Mobile.
