Syntonic Wireless(TM) Introduces Sponsored Content Store

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Jul 10, 2014) - Syntonic Wireless, an AT&T sponsored data provider, today announced the introduction of the Syntonic Sponsored Content Store(SM) for eligible AT&T mobile subscribers. Powered by the Syntonic Connected Services Platform -- which couples mobile apps and content with 4G connectivity -- the sponsored content store provides an open marketplace where eligible AT&T wireless customers can access free or premium mobile content without impacting their data plans.

The Syntonic Sponsored Content Store is integrated with AT&T's Sponsored Data(SM) service and gives content providers an effortless way to offer sponsored application connectivity to AT&T mobile data customers.

"Syntonic is honored to collaborate with AT&T and provide the solution that helps to bring sponsored data connectivity to millions of mobile customers in the United States," said Gary Greenbaum, co-founder and CEO of Syntonic Wireless. "Syntonic makes it easy for application and content providers, as well as others in the mobile value chain, to promote and expand their presence to mobile users."

With Syntonic's Connected Services Platform, eligible AT&T mobile customers will be able to access Syntonic's Sponsored Content Store -- a portfolio of web properties -- on their 4G smartphones, tablets, or laptops, browse websites, and stream audio and video without impacting their personal data plans.

The Sponsored Content Store will be available to eligible AT&T postpaid or session-based subscribers with either an Android or iOS tablet or smartphone.* The store application will be available for download across multiple operating systems later this summer. The AT&T relationship is just one example of how Syntonic's cloud-based service builds value across the entire mobile data delivery chain.

Others include:

  • Mobile network operators -- are now equipped to offer sponsored application connectivity as a differentiated offering to attract new customers, increase existing customer loyalty, and build complementary data revenue streams.

  • Content and application publishers -- are now empowered to expand their reach and promote their brand through a choice of customizable service options that enable promotional opportunities and the ability to target specific audiences.

  • Enterprises and SMBs -- are now able to cost effectively manage a BYOD model by providing employees with company-sponsored, anywhere access to the firm's line of business resources and applications. Syntonic supports segmented billing today, where the employee is billed for personal data use and the company charged for corporate access.
