Steris beats amid acquisitions

The seller of medical products such as sterilizers and surgical tables said Q3 EPS climbed 34% to 79 cents, beating estimates by 6 cents. Revenue grew 17% to $473 mil, below the expected $475 mil. Steris (STE) last quarter made a $1.9 bil bid for U.K.-based Synergy Health, after earlier buying Integrated Medical Systems for $165 mil. Steris sees full-year EPS of $2.86-$2.91, vs. $2.90 views. It expects a 15% revenue hike, below consensus for 16.4%. Shares rose 0.2% to 67.15.
