Starbucks is offering free coffee for veterans and military service members this Veterans Day.

On Monday, Nov. 11, the coffee store chain will hand out free tall coffee (hot or iced) for veterans, service members and military spouses at participating stores in the U.S., per a press release.

"This Veterans Day, Starbucks, alongside its [employee]-led resource group the Armed Forces Network, is proud to once again honor and give back to the Veteran and military community through free coffee and expanded support," the company wrote in its release, shared on Thursday, Oct. 31.

In addition to its giveaways, the coffee shop is set to donate $200,000 to several charity organizations that support U.S. vets and their families, including the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, which helps caretakers looking after injured veterans, and the Wounded Warrior Project, which offers support to injured veterans.

Starbucks also confirmed on Thursday that it will be opening nearly 100 new stores on military bases as a part of its Starbucks Military Family Stores program, which the company says will "advance Veteran causes, accelerate hiring in military communities, and support the transition from military to civilian careers."

"Military Family Stores closely collaborate with Veterans Service Organizations to link local Veterans and their families with important resources and services," Starbucks wrote of the on-base stores, which will feature special artwork, military-designed aprons for baristas and more.

Starbucks has long been known for supporting veterans, as coffee giveaways on Veterans Day are a longstanding tradition.

In its press release, the company also shared some of its programming for veterans, for both customers and employees (over the past 11 years, they have hired more than 40,000 veterans and military spouses.)

The company also offers a number of benefits to veteran employees — or partners, as they're called — including 80 hours of pay per year if partners are called into National Guard or Reserve duty while working, mental health support, tuition coverage for family members to receive scholarships for bachelor's programs at Arizona State University's online program and more.

"Starbucks deep respect and commitment to our military and Veteran communities extends well beyond free coffee on Veterans Day," AJ Jones II, executive vice president of corporate affairs and executive sponsor of Starbucks Armed Forces Partner Network, added in a press release.
