David Weinberg -- Chief Operating Officer

Good afternoon, and thank you for joining us today to review Skechers's second-quarter 2018 financial results. Joining me on the call is John Vandemore, Skechers's chief financial officer, who will discuss our financial results in detail. Second-quarter sales increased 10.6% to $1.13 billion, a new second-quarter sales record. The quarterly sales growth was the result of double-digit increases in our international wholesale company-owned global retail segments.
