OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jul 10, 2014) - Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to notify motorists and pedestrians of temporary road closures due to activities planned as part of the Sir John Carling Building Deconstruction project.
As the Sir John Carling Building has reached the end of its life cycle, it was determined the most cost-effective solution is to deconstruct the building. As such, AIM Environmental Group will proceed with the implosion of the building on July 13, 2014.
The following streets will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Carling Avenue from Irving Street to Preston Street

Preston Street from Carling Avenue to Prince of Wales Drive

Prince of Wales Drive from Preston Street to the National Capital Commission Scenic Driveway

Maple Drive from Carling Avenue to Birch Drive

Birch Drive from Maple Drive to the National Capital Commission Scenic Driveway

Bayswater Avenue from Carling Avenue to Sherwood Drive

Loretta Avenue from Carling Avenue to Hickory Street

Champagne Avenue from Carling Avenue to Hickory Street
