Sina rallies on strong quarterly results

Earnings, Revenue, Guidance All Strong

Chinese Internet firm Sina reported second-quarter profit of $0.21 a share on revenue of $152.8 million. Analysts had only expected $0.12 and $145.2 million, respectively. Revenue in the current quarter was also forecast at $176-180 million, better than the $165.5 million average estimate. SINA rallies 7 percent before the opening bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

Digital Generation Pops on Major Deal

Digital Generation agreed to sell its television business for $485 million in a company-transforming deal. Its remaining online business will be distributed to existing shareholders. DGIT rockets 41 percent on the news.

NQ Mobile Breezes Past Estimates

NQ Mobile earned $0.26 a share in the second quarter, while analysts had only expected $0.20. Revenue of $41.4 million also topped the $39.3 million consensus estimate and guidance was strong. NQ rallies 10 percent in the premarket.
