British luxury brand Burberry announced the appointment of Charlotte Baldwin as chief information officer. When Baldwin joins at the end of March, she will be responsible for leading Burberry’s global technology team. She is currently the global chief digital and information officer at Costa Coffee, overseeing the company’s technology, digital and data organization. Baldwin will also join the executive committee and report to Burberry chief executive officer Joshua Schulman.
Salvatore Ferragamo
Italian designer and luxury shoemaker Salvatore Ferragamo has agreed with its chief executive officer, Marco Gobbetti, to part ways, effective March 6. Gobbetti joined Salvatore Ferragamo as CEO and managing director in January 2022. Prior to this, he has been the CEO of Burberry since July 2017. The brand has started, by the existing succession plan, the process of selecting a candidate for the position of CEO.
Kering-owned luxury label Gucci announced the end of its collaboration with creative director Sabato De Sarno. The new artistic direction will be announced in due time, Kering said. De Sarno, who joined the brand two years ago, was expected to unveil Gucci’s Cruise 2026 collection in Florence on May 15. However, the brand’s Fall-Winter 2025 fashion show in Milan on Feb. 25 will be presented by the Gucci design office.
Caleres, the portfolio of consumer-driven footwear brands, announced Brian Costello has joined Famous Footwear as chief merchandising officer. In this role, he will oversee all buying and merchandising—including women’s, men’s and kids’ athletic and fashion footwear and accessories—for the brand’s U.S. and Canada stores and e-commerce sites. Costello has nearly 30 years of fashion experience at Nordstrom and Macy’s, including leading all footwear categories, women’s accessories and a variety of ready-to-wear categories at Nordstrom Rack.
Perfect Moment
Global luxury outerwear and activewear brand Perfect Moment has made several leadership changes. Chath Weerasinghe, a senior executive at Canada Goose responsible for its international expansion, has been appointed chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Perfect Moment. Vittorio Giacomelli, former vice president of product and sourcing at Canada Goose, will oversee product strategy, product development and innovation. Co-founder and chief creative officer Jane Gottschalk has been appointed president.

Ilana Kugel
Quiet luxury label Grey/Ven has named Ilana Kugel as the creative director of its women’s collection. Kugel is known for her work with Koral swimwear and as the first athleisure designer inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). She has helped support two collections for the brand in the past, one for a resort that premiered at September’s New York Fashion Week and a pre-fall collection.

DTC bridal brand Birdy Grey has appointed retail veteran Jill Layfield as chief executive officer. Layfield brings a wealth of experience in retail, e-commerce, and digital innovation, positioning her to lead the digitally-native brand into its next phase of growth. Founder and former CEO Grace Lee Chen will transition to the role of chief creative officer, overseeing the creative and design teams while continuing to collaborate with the brand and merchandising teams. Co-founder and former president Monica Ashauer is also transitioning to chief strategy officer, where she will lead the strategy team and focus on growth and business development.
British multinational retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) appointed former Boohoo CEO John Lyttle as managing director of clothing, home and beauty, in a planned succession. Richard Price, managing director of clothing, home and beauty since 2020, is leaving to pursue a portfolio career following a handover period. Maddy Evans, currently director of womenswear, will take on a broader role including lingerie, becoming director of M&S woman. David Brittain will be joining M&S as director of home and beauty at the end of April from Amazon, where he is currently business development director, Amazon fashion, Europe. Heidi Woodhouse will be leaving M&S after a handover period with Brittain.
Department store chain Macy’s announced that Barbie Cameron has been promoted to chief stores officer, effective Feb. 16. Cameron most recently served as the senior vice president and regional director of stores, East region, and had been the interim chief stores officer since August. In this role, Cameron will lead the store operations across Macy’s nameplate, from flagships to small format stores and its call center operations.She will report to Macy’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer, Adrian Mitchell.
Textile traceability technology company FibreTrace announced the appointment of Tricia Carey as its new strategic advisor based in New York City. With over 25 years of experience in the textile and apparel industry, Carey brings expertise and a proven track record in leading advancements in innovation, sustainability and circularity. She is recognized for her work at Lenzing, where she played a pivotal role in growing the business and establishing the branded Tencel fiber in the American market. More recently, Carey advanced circular fashion practices at Renewcell.

Craig Ryan has been appointed vice president of commercial Canada to drive growth and boost customer support.
