American Eagle Outfitters
Specialty retailer American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) announced the appointment of Stephanie Pugliese to the company’s board of directors as an independent director. Pugliese served as president of the Americas at Under Armour from 2019 to 2023. Prior to that, she spent 11 years at Duluth Holdings, most recently serving as president and chief executive officer and a board member from 2015 to 2019. She spent her early career as a vice president and general merchandise manager at Lands’ End and vice president of merchandising at Ann Inc.
Qurate Retail Group
Conglomerate Qurate Retail Group announced the appointment of Mara Sirhal as its chief merchandising officer for QVC U.S., the company’s largest business unit. Sirhal brings more than 20 years of experience in merchandising, product and brand development as well as sourcing for both department and specialty retail models. In this role, she will develop and lead QVC’s merchandising strategy across all categories—home, fashion, beauty, electronics and jewelry—as well as oversee QVC’s buying, planning and programming organization and lead QVC’s design development and global sourcing team. Sirhal will report to Mike Fitzharris, president of QVC. The role was previously held by Stacy Bowe, who was appointed President of Qurate Retail’s HSN business unit in February.

Baby and children’s apparel company Carter’s announced that Allison Peterson has joined the company as executive vice president, chief retail and digital officer. Raghu Sagi has been named executive vice president, chief information and technology officer. Both new hires have extensive e-commerce experience and will report to Michael Casey, chairman and chief executive officer of the company.
Walmart
American retail corporation Walmart announced that Creighton Kiper, former vice president of beauty for Walmart U.S., will now lead merchandising for Walmart’s home division as senior Vice president. With this promotion, Creighton heads one of Walmart’s key merchandising portfolios, bringing his expertise in strategic business transformation to continue growing, evolving and building credibility for Walmart Home. Since joining Walmart in 2008, Creighton has held leadership roles across various merchandising categories.
Primark
International fashion retailer Primark has appointed former Tesco commercial director Nigel Jones as chief operating officer. In this new role, Jones will oversee the global supply chain and logistics as well as its technology and business transformation function. After spending 25 years in the supermarket business, Jones served as Whitbread’s group operations and transformation director for seven years.
