Seagate Development Group has completed a total condominium remodel on Boca Grande.

With a rich history of celebrity sightings, tropical beauty, panoramic water views and incomparable tarpon fishing, Boca Grande is one of Southwest Florida’s best kept secrets. Over time, it has taken visionaries to restore the island’s resources and preserve its hidden treasures – and the same can be said for the homes that encompass it. Seagate accepted one of those challenges when it completely remodeled a two-story, 1,500-square-foot condominium just south of downtown Boca Grande.

A classic beach-inspired property, the condo needed a facelift to improve functionality and capitalize on its coastal style. Seagate started at the elevated front exterior – removing wood decking and installing a high-performance composite deck that instantly draws everyone toward the entry door.

The inside honors and mimics the exterior for a relaxed, coastal getaway and cohesive feel. Aside from new gray plank tile flooring, a white and smoky blue color scheme, smooth crown molding as well as new recessed lighting, fans and hurricane-rated windows, some of the biggest changes to the home begin in the gallery kitchen. It now boasts shaker-style cabinetry, soft-close cabinet drawers, a floor-to-ceiling pantry, storage surrounding the French-door refrigerator, and new stainless-steel appliances like a slide-in cooktop range with a stainless-steel hood. Coupling convenient cooking with a pathway to a window of palm trees, crews removed the soffit to level the ceiling and create space for a wall of cabinets and built-in microwave. They also added a peninsula island with quartz countertops to better serve food and entertain guests. The kitchen is topped with a subway tile backsplash in soothing Southwest-Florida-sand tones. An under-staircase wet bar, with the same kitchen finishes, serves as an anchor to the open entertaining spaces where homeowners and guests can take in expansive views of the landscape, beach and gulf as well as enjoy intimate gatherings. Triple hurricane-rated sliding glass doors take everyone to the screened lanai and grant them beach access. A new and oversized laundry room includes an improved storage and folding area as well as a new stacked washer and dryer. This – along with a powder bath – completes the first floor.

A staircase with an improved railing, spindles, post and decorative trim takes homeowners and guests to the second story, which includes a master suite, a guest bedroom and a guest bath. In the master bedroom, Seagate enclosed the balcony with ample windows that flood the space with natural light. This private sanctuary accommodates a built-in desk, bench seating, ample storage, space for cozy armchairs, and an invitation to enjoy private front-row views of sugar sand beaches and sparkling water. The master bath offers a linen closet for additional storage and hexagon floor tile that flows into a frameless glass-enclosed shower. The walls in both bathrooms debut subway tile with a ridged frame that gives the illusion of sparkling glass. When the light hits that glass, it mimics the sun sparkling on the water, further blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces.
