Route1 Provides Q1 2016 Operations Update

Route1 Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ROI) (the Company or Route1), a leading provider of secure access technologies for the mobile workspace to protect businesses and government agencies, provided an update on market drivers, its operations and business development activity.

Revenue from services includes MobiKEY application software, as well as the DEFIMNET platform and other appliance licensing or yearly maintenance. The net increase in MobiKEY application software users primarily came from agencies and components within the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Navy, and the U.S. Department of the Interior.

For the above noted 16,490 MobiKEY subscribers, Route1's average revenue per subscriber will increase in Q2 2016 to CAD $375 or better as a result of the improved exchange rate Route1 has realized since renewing certain U.S. government accounts in March and April 2016.

"I continue to be pleased with the number and quality of business development opportunities we are involved in. We have seen a number of quality sales opportunities advance in Q1, and we expect to see increased growth from current and new accounts within the U.S. government over the next few months," said Brian Brunetti, President, Route1 Inc. "Our current and potential government customers continue to be operationally focused on Cybersecurity Sprints, as mandated by the Obama Administration. These so-called sprints involve scanning, patching and hardening deployed systems within very short turnaround times, typically within 30 days. These sprints and other cybersecurity initiatives within the U.S. government create substantial opportunities for MobiKEY deployment as departments and agencies look to improve their security best practices."

Steve Cocco, 27 year FBI veteran and President, Security Strategies Today

"I have dedicated my professional life to law enforcement and security and am now the president of my own company. I got here after 27 years with the FBI, having started off in the Bureau's New York office as a linguist in the 1980s. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the agency that I decided I wanted to become an agent and was honored to be given the opportunity. I spent several years as a field agent in San Diego and New York before going into management. That took me to Rome, Italy, where I was assigned to the US embassy to support the FBI's mission overseas. I also responded to the US embassy bombings in East Africa and conducted extensive FBI-sponsored training to foreign law enforcement partners in Africa and in Latin America. I was given the opportunity to set up the FBI's Joint Terrorsim Task Force in the San Juan, Puerto Rico division and finally served as Assistance Special Agent in Charge in Phoenix. It was just an amazing career with outstanding people and opportunities.

We are a full service security consulting firm and we spend the bulk of our time and efforts on conducting threat and risk assessments for private clients, including companies and small businesses. As part of our efforts to enhance the security posture of companies that have a limited budget, we recently put together low cost packages that allow a business to get an on-site security assessment conducted by professionals.

A key aspect to our threat assessment modeling includes providing the familiarization training to management which enables it to identify possible 'insider threats' to the business. Quite often, the most significant threat to safe and secure operations stems from employees or contractors who abscond with company data, merchandise, cash or intellectual property. Although these may all be chargeable offenses, why not take proactive steps to spot trends and activities that are suspect and implement measures to counter these threats before a loss is incurred? "

Europe's leading security and fire industry events, IFSEC and FIREX International have today launched the first ever ARC Village at this year's shows located at London's ExCeL on 21^st to 23^rd June. Providing an incisive platform for the UK's alarm receiving centres to showcase their technical expertise and services, the ARC Village will give visitors the opportunities to discuss their requirements in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

The ARC Village is brought to IFSEC and FIREX in association with our connectivity partner CSL Dualcom, a leading international Critical Connectivity® provider specialising in Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications. Security professionals visiting IFSEC and FIREX have the chance to meet a range of leading alarm receiving centres with the aim of gaining greater knowledge of the providers' services and how they're able to provide vital connectivity and real time support in determining the validity of fire and security alarm activity.

The alarm receiving centres EMCS, Southern Monitoring Service & Kings Security Ltd have already joined the ARC Village and will be on hand to discuss their business with IFSEC and FIREX visitors.
