The Savings Bank Mutual Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts (SBLI) has teamed up with Swiss Re to enhance its life underwriting process with the Swiss Re Underwriting Ease solution.
This digital tool is designed to streamline risk assessment and speed up decision-making for life underwriters.
Swiss Re's Underwriting Ease solution integrates into existing workflows and connects with Life Guide.
The tool is said to be created “by underwriters for underwriters”, supporting end-to-end digitisation.
Featuring a user-friendly interface, the solution summarises key aspects of risks, enabling underwriters to make quicker decisions, stated SBLI chief underwriter Brian O’Connell.
SBLI president and CEO Jim Morgan said: “Swiss Re’s Underwriting Ease puts actionable information at the underwriters’ fingertips. This streamlined view enables faster risk decision-making, adding efficiencies and improving the overall experience. Including this innovative platform to add tangible business value to SBLI’s underwriting process is aligned with our strategic mission.”
Swiss Re US life and health president and CEO Neil Sprackling noted: “We are delighted to deepen our existing relationship with SBLI with the implementation of Underwriting Ease. Swiss Re’s mission is to make the world more resilient, and this partnership delivers on that through the development of innovative tools that enhance the underwriting experience for our clients.”
In 2023, SBLI partnered with Swiss Re to leverage the latter’s Automated Claims Experience solution, to guide beneficiaries through the claims process.
"SBLI collaborates with Swiss Re to improve underwriting process " was originally created and published by Life Insurance International, a GlobalData owned brand.
