Sage Supports the Future of the Accounting Profession by Cosponsoring Third National Meet the Firms Week Event

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Aug 26, 2013) - Sage North America today announced its continued partnership with CollegeFrog, a company that works to match high-performing accounting students and graduates with hiring firms across the nation, to present the Fall 2013 National Meet the Firms Week event. This is the third time Sage has cosponsored National Meet the Firms Week, a premier virtual accounting recruiting event, running from September 9-13, 2013.

National Meet the Firms Week allows hundreds of accounting firms nationwide to meet thousands of job-seeking accounting students and gives students the opportunity to get their resumés into the hands of hiring firms, all online and at no charge.

In 2012, CollegeFrog presented the first National Meet the Firms Week event as an answer to recruitment challenges that college students and firms alike were facing. Students and firms are encouraged to visit http://www.meetthefirmsweek.com and create a profile. When the event kicks off on September 9, each participating firm will gain access to all profiles of students located in their state of operation.

Sage will cosponsor this event with other industry leaders, providing benefits to participating students and firms.

Participating students will receive:

  • Individual access to Sage 50 Accounting 2014 - U.S. Edition (formerly Sage Peachtree) online comprehensive Anytime Learning until October 15, 2013.

  • Sage 50 Accounting 2014 - U.S. Edition product certification at no charge after passing the exam by October 15, 2013 (students will have the opportunity to download the trial version of the software to prepare and utilize for the exam).

Firms are eligible to enroll in the Sage Accountants Network at a 20% discounted rate for the first year of membership, available for sign-up until October 31, 2013. Benefits to this autorenewing membership include:

  • A copy of the Sage 50 Accountant Edition 2014 (formerly Peachtree) including a custom reporting license.

  • Payroll tax tables and unlimited access to technical support.

  • Listing of firm name on the Sage 50 Accounting - U.S. Edition website.

  • Training opportunities, including CPE credited courses.

"Sage is continually seeking out new opportunities to support the accounting profession that will help propel it forward," said Jennifer Warawa, vice president, partner programs and channel sales, Sage North America. "Participating in the National Meet the Firms Week Events is an ideal way to do this, providing training, certification, and employment opportunities to these young professionals, who are the future leaders of the profession."
