NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - September 21, 2015) - B&H Photo would like to share the announcement of the 50mm f/1.2 lens and the 21mm f/1.4 lens from Rokinon. Designed specifically for APS-C and Micro Four Third sensors, both lenses feature a compact design, with each measuring slightly less than 3" long.
The Rockinon 50mm f/1.2 lens is a very fast prime, lending itself to low-light photography and shallow-depth-of-field imagery. Constructed of 8 elements in 7 groups, the lens includes two aspherical elements to reduce coma and chromatic aberration, and Ultra Multi-Coating (UMC) to suppress ghosting and lens flare for high-contrast images. The lens provides a 35mm equivalent focal length of 80mm on Canon EF-M mount cameras, 76mm on Fuji X mount and Sony E mount cameras, and 100mm on Micro Four Thirds cameras. A rounded nine-blade aperture provides pleasing out-of-focus areas, and a round lens hood is included to prevent stray light from causing flare.
Providing a wider angle of view, the Rockinon 21mm f/1.4 lens has three aspherical elements, one extra-low dispersion element, and the same Ultra Multi-Coating (UMC) as the 50mm to suppress ghosting and lens flare and produce high contrast, color-neutral images. This lens provides a 35mm equivalent focal length of 33.6mm on Canon EF-M mount cameras, 31.5mm on Fuji X-mount and Sony E-mount cameras, and 42mm on Micro Four Thirds cameras. Like the 50mm lens, the 21mm has a rounded nine-blade aperture and includes a petal-shaped lens hood.
