SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 24, 2014) - Roambi, the stunning business app that redesigns the way the world interacts with data on mobile devices, today announced the availability of Roambi Analytics for Android smartphones and tablets. Since its launch in 2009, Roambi has become a leading mobile reporting app with its combination of native architecture, multi-touch visualizations and mobile-centric functionality, including full offline capabilities. Next month, Roambi will bring that same level of experience, award-winning design and usability to the Android community.
With more than 800 enterprise customers around the world, and the fact that many organizations have implemented bring-your-own-device (BYOD) policies, it's critical that every business decision maker, from CEOs to store managers, be able to access real-time business data -- regardless of their mobile device preference.
"We created Roambi because we believe that businesses of all sizes are shifting to become more mobile-centric and that there is a huge demand for enterprise applications that are designed and built from the ground up," said Quinton Alsbury, co-founder and president of Product Innovation, Roambi. "We view mobility as an opportunity to combine the capabilities of mobile devices with a mobile-centric user experience, providing true mobile accessibility to information in the moments when decisions are actually made, and we are thrilled to now extend that opportunity to the Android community."
The long-awaited Roambi Analytics app for Android will be available to install through the Google Play store for customers of both the Roambi Enterprise Server and Roambi Business cloud offering on July 22. The initial version will include four of Roambi's most popular views, including the Card, Catalist, Layers and Superlist, as well as support for all of the platforms content management and end-to-end security features including Device Lockout, Remote Wipe, Application Passcode and more. The company will be adding support for additional visualizations, as well as the Roambi Flow publishing product, throughout the remainder of the year.
Furthermore, Roambi also announced a new integration with Okta, an enterprise-grade identity management service, built from the ground up in the cloud and designed to address the challenges of a cloud, mobile and interconnected business world. The Roambi and Okta integration enables customers to centrally manage user identities, giving these users seamless, secure access to the 3,000+ applications in the Okta Application Network from any location or device, increasing productivity and empowering users to make smart, on-the-go decisions. The integration will also benefit IT and increase data security, as Okta's centralized user management capabilities enable IT to easily provision and de-provision Roambi to end users.
