NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jan 8, 2015) - In a plot twist reminiscent of Shakespearian plays, Richard Easton wins two major victories in lawsuits filed against him last August and September, but in the end, the numerous disparaging press articles weighed too heavily on Easton's reputation to continue matchmaking.
Ms. Taranina writes: "I see now that what I was being told (while I was out of the country) misconstrued and sensationalized the actual facts. Of course, the courts threw out the complaint because there was no evidence backing up the statements. I want to extend to you my sincere apology for the false and defamatory statements about you."
The lawsuit against Easton was dismissed with prejudice for an undisclosed cash payment to Richard Easton.
Similarly, the lawsuit filed by Audrey Ruden was dismissed with prejudice but for no cash settlement whatsoever. Again, the numerous false accusations and sensationalisms in the complaint bared no supporting evidence to continue the lawsuit.
Richard Easton said of the debacle: "I harbor no ill will to anyone. We have all made mistakes including me. It would be hypocritical to blame Ms. Taranina or Ms. Ruden for doing something they now regret because I have done plenty of things I now regret. And both ladies will forever regret their Google searches. The words 'I am sorry' will never make those articles go away."
Richard Easton Matchmakers was the top NYC firm in its field. Mr. Easton is very thankful for all his former employees and clients who stood by him through media turbulence. "I think our greatest achievements were the hundreds of happy relationships we created during our five years. Thank you and good luck to all," Richard Easton adds.
Richard Easton will continue servicing his remaining clients until their memberships expire.
