President Trump is set to hold a signing ceremony on aluminum and steel tomorrow, but congressional Republicans continue to fight him.
One hundred seven House Republicans now say they have "deep concerns" about the prospect of tariffs. Deep concerns are common in the deep state.
But where is their concern about our trade deficit, which hit a nine-year high of more than $56 billion in January. Last year's trade deficit was the biggest since 2008, reaching nearly $570 billion.
Despite the latest evidence that wealth is being squandered and this country is being taken advantage of by unfair trade deals, RINOs continue to fight this president -- chief among them, House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who are doing the bidding of the Chamber of Commerce and Business Roundtable.
Of course, the Chamber of Commerce and Business Roundtable rank among the top three spenders on lobbying. Those opposed to the Trump tariffs are anti-middle class, anti-working man and woman, and anti-small business.
And if Republicans continue to battle this president, Ryan and McConnell will be responsible for the largest loss of seats by the majority party in a century, and most likely the 107 GOPers who oppose the president will be among the unemployed.
