Mar. 21—MIDLAND — Community National Bank, in partnership with the Midland Chamber of Commerce, will host the Protect Your Business Annual Cybersecurity Forum from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. March 27 at the Midland Community Theatre, 2000 W. Wadley Ave., Midland.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. with a light breakfast provided for attendees.

The forum is designed to equip local businesses with the knowledge and tools needed to safeguard their operations from rising cyber threats. As technology evolves, small businesses face growing vulnerabilities that can compromise data, disrupt operations, and damage reputations.

"At Community National Bank, we are committed to protecting our customers and ensuring the safety of our community," said Brad Bullock, COO at Community National Bank. "We recognize the critical need to empower small businesses with the resources and strategies necessary to combat cyber threats. This forum is an opportunity to stay informed and prepared."

Cybercrime is on the rise, with small and medium-sized businesses being frequent targets. Phishing scams, ransomware attacks, and data breaches can lead to financial loss and operational disruptions. The Protect Your Business Forum will provide attendees with insights from cybersecurity experts, Morgan Wright, Senior Fellow at the Center for Digital Government, and Shawn Tuma, CO-Chair of Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice, Spencer Fane, LLC., offering practical steps and strategies to strengthen defenses against these evolving threats.
