Film Nominated for 'Most Valuable Documentary of the Year' at the

Events to Continue to Shine a Spotlight on the Fight for Ukraine
as the Three-Year Anniversary Approaches
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Academy Award-nominated, DGA-winning and 2025 duPont–Columbia Award-winning documentary PORCELAIN WAR, about ordinary artists and citizens fighting to defend their country and culture, will travel to Europe this weekend for two prestigious events that highlight Ukraine's ongoing fight as the third anniversary of the war approaches.
Co-director Brendan Bellomo will attend the Cinema for Peace Foundation's prestigious Gala Awards Ceremony in Berlin on Feb. 17, where the film has been nominated for "Most Valuable Documentary of the Year." Additionally, Porcelain War has been invited for a special screening at The Hague on Feb. 20 in the Netherlands.
The Cinema for Peace Foundation, established in 2008, uses the power of film to influence perceptions and resolutions of global, social, political, and humanitarian challenges. The organization has supported films and honored individuals such as Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, George Clooney, and Nelson Mandela.
The Hague event is expected to attract numerous high-level guests, including multiple ambassadors, ministry representatives, the Dutch Special Envoy for Ukraine, members of parliament, European Commission representatives, and cultural leaders. Confirmed speakers include the Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Netherlands, the Dutch Special Envoy, a representative from the Municipality of The Hague, and the managing director of The Hague Humanity Hub.
