The new location will be on the first floor of The Clark building, six stories of modern downtown loft apartments and retail space.
Located at 6th Street and Reid Place along the Big Sioux River Greenway, the six-story Clark building is surrounded by river and courtyard views.
Introducing The Clark Lofts at Cherapa Place We're thrilled to announce the grand opening of our newest residential community on May 1st, offering unparalleled living experiences right in the heart of Downtown Sioux Falls. At The Clark Lofts, we've curated a sustainable and modern space that you'll be proud to call home.
"We're going to take the original Pomegranate Market to the next level and then take the new store beyond that because we're designing it to meet the unique needs of downtown shoppers,” said Craig Snyder, the 13-year owner of the original Pomegranate Market at 4815 South Louise Avenue.
Both store locations will be owned by Snyder, as well as his son Jonah and son-in-law Gabe Messler. Their inspiration for the new retail space, they said, is West Coast grocery stores such as Whole Foods.
"We're trying to take the Whole Foods concept to the next level like some of these stores on the West Coast," Snyder said. "I initially took some convincing, but I now believe in downtown and believe we have enough of a pull to support this next step for Pomegranate."

Jeff Scherschligt, co-owner of Cherapa Place family developer Pendar Properties, said they are excited about this addition.
"Our vision for Cherapa has included a grocery store from the beginning, and this is a chance to make it happen with local partners who share our commitment to quality and sustainability,” Scherschligt said. “This is a big moment for downtown and for this development and we can't wait to share more details soon."
