GDANSK (Reuters) -Polish video game producer 11 bit studios plans to release Frostpunk 2, the sequel to its BAFTA-nominated society survival game, in the first half of 2024, company representatives said at an investor conference on Wednesday.

Frostpunk 2 is currently ranked eighth on the Global Top Wishlists on video game platform Steam.

In the coming year, 11 bit studios plans to focus on games rather than operational changes and acquisitions.

"These 12 months will be focused on games and less on other things. So we are reducing the pressure on operational changes, growth and acquisitions. I'm not saying that we are completely shutting down these activities, but we will not be constantly looking for new opportunities," CEO Przemyslaw Marszal said.

The company's new title, "Project N", is in the advanced stages of development and will be presented in the third quarter, with the release set for first quarter of 2024, it said.

The release of "The Invincible", a title developed by Starward Industries, whose shares were acquired by 11 bit studios last year, is planned for the third or fourth quarter.

The premiere of "The Alters" is planned for the first half of 2024, and "The Thaumaturge" from Fool's Theory, a studio in which 11 bit studios also owns a stake, will debut in the fourth quarter of this year.

At 1051 GMT, 11 bit studios' shares were up 7.8%.
