Plymouth Fire Co. #1 hosting TV recycling event on Saturday, July 15
Jul. 9—PLYMOUTH — Plymouth Fire Co. No. 1 will be hosting a Television Recycling event on Saturday, July 15, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Organizers said this is an opportunity for individuals as well as businesses throughout the Wyoming Valley to dispose of their unwanted or broken televisions.
Cost is $20 per TV — no matter the size.
The event will take place at the firehouse parking lot, 24 Gaylord Ave., Plymouth.
No items will be picked up — drop-off only during scheduled hours.
No projection or CRT TVs will be accepted — only flat panel LCD, LED, Plasma, 3D, OLED, etc.
Plymouth Fire Co. No. 1 has teamed up with KVS Computers, an R2 (Responsible Recycling) certified recycler for this event.
'Back the Red, White & Blue' yard
signs are back for a limited time
The "Back the Red, White & Blue" 12" x 18" yard signs are back for sale for a limited time at the firehouse.
Cost per sign is $10.
"Join us in showing support for emergency responders in your hometown and across the United States," said Lori Bolesta, firefighter/truck driver for Plymouth Fire Co. No. 1. "Our department has purchased signs displaying the thin red line, thin white line, and thin blue line to honor the hard work and sacrifices made every day by police officers, firefighters, and EMS workers. There is no better time than the present to purchase a sign and show your support."
Bolesta said if you didn't get one during the last sale, or need a replacement, there are a few ways to get your sign before they sell out.
Bolesta said signs will be available for purchase during the television recycling event on July 15, and also every weeknight (beginning at 4:30 p.m.) at the firehouse on Gaylord Avenue.
