North American food and foodservice distribution company Performance Food Group (PFG) has outlined changes to its executive leadership structure to drive innovation and foster growth.

Approved by the company’s board of directors, the changes take effect from 1 January 2025.

Scott McPherson will become president and chief operating officer, and Craig Hoskins will take on the roles of executive vice-president and chief development officer.

The strategic shifts aim to enhance the company's growth and integrate recent acquisitions.

McPherson will oversee the operations of PFG's three business segments: foodservice, convenience and the snack, candy and beverage distributor Vistar.

He will report directly to PFG's chairman and chief executive officer George Holm, and brings experience from a 30-year career including senior leadership roles at Core-Mark and PFG.

Craig Hoskins is tasked with leading the integration of PFG's recent acquisitions, Cheney Brothers and Jose Santiago. His focus will be on leveraging the combined strengths of these entities to benefit the broader PFG enterprise.

Hoskins' has worked at PFG since 1990, and has held the roles of president and chief operating officer. He was also president and chief executive officer of Performance Foodservice and PFG Customized.

George Holm said: “At PFG, we believe that having a strong leadership team is one of the cornerstones of our success.”

“By investing in the development of our leaders, we ensure our team is equipped to drive innovation, foster growth and seamlessly navigate an ever-evolving marketplace.”
