Julie Negovan joined Griesing Law's ADR and commercial litigation practice group as of counsel.

Negovan focus her practice on construction, energy, health care, class actions, mass torts and complex commercial litigation.

In addition, she has e-discovery experience, including project management, litigation holds, forensics and production.

She earned her law degree from Villanova University School of Law.

Flaster Greenberg's corporate/tax practice expanded with the addition of attorney Joseph M. Hayes as a shareholder in the taxation, trusts and estates, business and corporate and health care practice groups.

Hayes, who will work primarily in the firm's Cherry Hill, New Jersey, office, represents businesses, business owners and individuals, both United States and foreign, in connection with business and commercial transactions, business formation and planning, compensation planning, asset protection and estate planning.

Most recently, Hayes was a principal in the Philadelphia office of Offit Kurman.

Elected and Appointed

Lamb McErlane's James "Jim" Sargent, partner and co-chair of the firm's appellate advocacy group and litigation department, was named chairman of the board of trustees for the Chester County Historical Society.

At Lamb McErlane, Sargent represents major national and multinational manufacturers in litigation and appeals involving class action, products liability, taxation, warranty, fraud, employment and consumer protection law claims.

He consults for other law firms, speaks at bar association seminars on preparing briefs and arguments for appeal and was an adjunct professor at Villanova Law School for 10 years.

Sargent is also chairman of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's amicus curiae brief committee.

More than 80 appointees from across the state have taken leadership roles as 2017-18 chairs of committees and sections of the Pennsylvania Bar 
Association.

Many of the association's policies and positions prompting development of state laws and actions viewed as beneficial to the legal system, courts and public result from actions initiated by the leaders and members of these groups.

Susan Schwartz, of Press Enterprise, was named co-chair of the PBA bar/press committee.

Lisa M. Grayson, of Cumberland County Register of Wills, was named co-chair of the PBA military and veterans affairs committee.

Magisterial District Judge Kathryn H. Silcox was renamed co-chair of the PBA unauthorized practice of law committee.
