(KRON) — A hardware store that has been serving customers on the Peninsula for more than 45 years is shutting its doors. K-119 Tools & Equipment is having a final sale on Thursday, April 11 before it shuts down.
The store is located at 925 San Mateo Ave. in San Bruno, just more than a mile away from SFO.

According to a press release sent out by K-119, the store is “known for its diverse inventory.” Its products include woodworking, outdoor power equipment, construction tools, automotive tools and more.
“This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, and I’m sure going to miss all the great people I’ve gotten to know and help along the way,” said store owner Joseph Chien.
Before it closes for good, the store plans to sell all of its inventory “to the bare walls.” Items will be discounted to up to 50% off.
The store will first hold a private closing sale on April 10 that will be invite only. The next day, it will open up to the public. The public sale will last from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
K-119 is family-owned and operated. The press release did not list a reason for the closure aside from “it was time to retire.”
