Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes signed the richest contract in NFL history last July when he inked a 10-year, $450 million contract extension, but Mahomes wasn’t the only player in the NFL in 2020 to sign either a massive free-agent contract or extension. In fact, not including Mahomes, 50 players agreed to deals during the year with values of at least $42 million.

Mahomes’ contract includes $63.1 million in guaranteed money at signing, and it carries a maximum guarantee of $148.5 million. As astronomical as those numbers are, they still fall way short of the money the Los Angeles Angels will pay to outfielder Mike Trout based on the 12-year, $426.5 million pact he signed in 2019. Major League Baseball contracts are fully guaranteed, after all.

So, while Mahomes is clearly the headliner when it comes to major NFL contracts, who else put pen to paper on a big deal in 2020?

Here’s a closer look at the biggest deals signed last year.
