OilOnline and Oilfield Helping Hands Partner to Help Industry Families in Need With "Profile Share" Campaign
HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - April 30, 2014) - OilOnline and Oilfield Helping Hands, a non-profit organization that assists oilfield families in financial crises, announced today their "Profile Share" partnership whose purpose is to raise funds for oil & gas industry families in need.
Starting May 1st, "Profile Share" invites oil and gas professionals worldwide to create a profile on OilOnline -- a professional development website from AtComedia -- and publisher of Offshore Engineer and Asian Oil & Gas. In return, OilOnline will donate one dollar to Oilfield Helping Hands for every individual profile created during the month of May. There is no cost for an individual to create a profile -- only benefits.
A completed profile on OilOnline will empower individuals to network, access career resources, receive breaking news and explore new job opportunities. It also offers the added value of giving back to the oilfield community by helping families struggling with personal crisis.
Furthermore, AtComedia will also donate 25% of OilOnline's advertising revenue for the month of May to Oilfield Helping Hands. Atcomedia President, Brion Palmer said, "This is a chance for companies' advertising dollars to work on two fronts -- to achieve their business objectives and to assist Oilfield Helping Hands with its vital charitable mission. There is no ceiling on what AtComedia will donate to Oilfield Helping Hands during this promotion and we challenge the industry to force us to write a very large check." AtComedia will also recognize the companies that advertise in a special "Thank You" ad published on OilOnline and in AtComedia's Offshore Engineer magazine.
Oilfield Helping Hands President Gary Brooks said, "At Oilfield Helping Hands, we are excited about the potential of this partnership, which will greatly increase industry awareness of our organization and raise monies to help oilfield families in crisis, through no fault of their own. Oilfield Helping Hands depends on support from funds generated from events, corporate sponsors, corporate memberships, donations, foundations and employee-choice programs. This effort will add another layer to our fundraising efforts to help even more families."
The "Profile Share" partnership will also have a significant presence at the upcoming 2014 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), May 5-9th in Houston. Anyone attending OTC is invited to come by the AtComedia/OilOnline/Offshore Engineer(OE) booth #4565 and complete their OilOnline registration in order to contribute to Oilfield Helping Hands. The process takes only a few minutes, and if the registrant has a LinkedIn account, much of their profile will auto-populate into the OilOnline template.
