(Bloomberg) -- The pay package of Nvidia Corp. Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang jumped 46% to nearly $50 million in fiscal 2025 after the company he co-founded became the top beneficiary of an artificial intelligence spending boom.

Huang’s compensation is up from $34.2 million in the prior year, mainly due to the soaring value of his stock awards. The salary portion of his pay increased to almost $1.5 million, up from $996,514 the prior year, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Under Huang’s leadership, the 30-year-old chipmaker has topped $3 trillion in market capitalization, making it one of the most valuable companies in the world. Revenue more than doubled to $130.5 billion in fiscal 2025, which ended in January. And sales are on course to surge more than 50% this year, helped by runaway spending on AI infrastructure.

Huang, 62, parlayed Nvidia’s position as the dominant seller of computer graphics cards into a new role selling highly prized AI computing chips. The components help train and run generative AI models such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

After surging in 2023 and 2024, Nvidia’s stock has slipped about 3% this year — weighed down by concern that a trade war and tariffs will slow spending on AI.
